Indiana has made their first formal scholarship offer in the class of 2027. Baba Oladotun announced an offer from IU on his X page on Wednesday afternoon. Listed at around 6-foot-9 and 175 pounds by most outlets, Oladotun hails from Silver Springs, Md. (James Hubert Blake H.S.) Oladotun plays for Team Durant on the Nike EYBL Circuit. As is the case with most recruitments in the Washington D.C. metro area, look for IU assistant coach Kenya Hunter to take the lead. While there are no official rankings yet for the class of 2027, Oladotun is widely viewed as a likely…

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Class of 2025 big man Malachi Moreno will have things figured out in a few months. The national top-25 4-star center announced his final eight schools a couple weeks ago — Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. There are many who believe there are two schools who stand out above the rest for the 7-footer from Georgetown, Ky. — Kentucky and Indiana. The Wildcats are the home team for Moreno. Georgetown is less than a half an hour from Lexington, and he’ll tell you UK is a program that he followed…
In 2024-25, Indiana will have the exact same number of nonconference games against mid and low-major opponents that they’ve had in each of Mike Woodson’s previous three seasons as head coach: seven. But somehow this edition of the Hoosiers’ nonconference slate announced on Tuesday has the fan base a bit more restless than in years past. We suspect that’s in part due to a vocal minority of Hoosier fans who aren’t happy with anything Woodson touches right now. Only winning will solve that. And it’s also likely due to the fact that there isn’t a marquee nonconference home game on…
Indiana picked up a commitment from class of 2025 interior offensive lineman Baylor Wilkin on Tuesday evening. He announced the decision on his social media pages. Wilkin was at IU on multiple occasions in June, both for a camp and later in the month for an official visit. Indiana was his first Power Four offer. The 6-foot-4 and 275-pound Findlay, Ohio product has a 3-star ranking at 247Sports. Last month, Wilkin told 247Sports national reporter Allen Trieu IU offensive line coach Bob Bostad, and the business school stood out to him. Wilkin has been a bit of a late bloomer. …
Indiana’s two programs that generate the most profit for the athletic department are likely to be impacted by upcoming changes to the name, image and likeness rules in different ways. The most notable prospective change fueled by a lawsuit settlement agreed to by the NCAA is expected direct payments by schools to athletes beginning in 2025. In the first year of the settlement, it’s expected that each school can share 22% of the average Power 5 school’s revenues, which is currently projected to be significantly more than $20 million per school, per year. And it isn’t clear yet how those…
