Indiana will have a class of 2026 visitor at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall when the Hoosiers host Ohio State on Saturday evening. Class of 2026 forward Gabe Weis will be at the game as a recruiting guest. This will be the Kentucky product’s second visit to IU. He was also in Bloomington for Hoosier Hysteria in October. The 6-foot-7 and 185-pound Weis averaged 11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a freshman at Washington County H.S. while shooting 53.9 percent from the field. The transfer commits kept coming for Indiana on Friday. Troy linebacker Jayden McDonald announced he’s headed to Bloomington for his final season of college football. It will be a return trip to the Big Ten for the 6-foot and 227-pound middle linebacker. McDonald led the Trojans with 75 tackles this season, along with 9.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery from his Mike linebacker position. James Madison transfer wideout Elijah Sarratt is headed to Indiana. He announced the news on Thursday evening while on a visit in Bloomington. Sarratt was named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference after catching a team-high 82 passes for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023, helping James Madison finish 11-2. Over the Dukes’ final six games, Sarratt had over 100 receiving yards in five contests. Indiana added North Carolina transfer running back Elijah Green on Thursday. The 5-foot-11 and 210-pound Green announced his transfer to IU on his social media pages. 2022 was Green’s best season at UNC, when he carried 131 times for 558 yards and eight TDs. Indiana added a second Old Dominion safety on Thursday. Veteran defensive back Terry Jones announced he has committed to the Hoosiers. Jones appeared in all 12 games in 2023, starting 11 at safety. He was third on the team and fourth in the Sun Belt with 107 tackles. Jones had four tackles for loss and four pass breakups.
