The 6-foot-9 and 233-pound Jenkins attends Overtime Elite in Atlanta. He transferred there this offseason from Riviera Prep (Miami, Fla.) Jenkins is a consensus top-40 overall prospect and top-7 power forward in the 2027 class. It’s a new week and IU football coach Curt Cignetti has turned the page to the next opponent, the Iowa Hawkeyes. But in paying his respects to Iowa’s football program and head coach Kirk Ferentz, Cignetti perhaps inadvertently shoveled one more pile of dirt on Illinois’ grave. “Iowa, it’s a tough place to play, Kinnick Stadium. They sell out almost every Saturday. It’s loud. So we’re going to have to play well,” Cignetti at his regular Monday press conference in Bloomington. “This will be a challenge, a more difficult challenge than the last one (against Illinois), for sure.” What all…
For the first time since the first round of the College Football Playoff last December, IU football is taking the show on the road. The Hoosiers have lost four straight in Iowa City, with their last win coming in 2007. Since that 38-20 win, the Hawkeyes have won eight of nine in the series. Iowa is…

IU football quarterback Fernando Mendoza has posted video game numbers to start the 2025 season. Through four games he has completed 76 of 99 (77%) throws for 975 yards, with 14 touchdowns and no interceptions. That’s despite a rather pedestrian performance in week one. Projecting his start for the full 12-game regular season, Mendoza is on pace for 3,900 yards and 56 touchdowns. Of course the challenge stiffens as Indiana goes on the road for games at Iowa, Oregon and Penn State in the weeks to come, so he’ll no doubt come off that pace. But Mendoza posted his best…
