Indiana has lost a potential starting cornerback to the transfer portal. Kobee Minor arrived in Bloomington (from Texas Tech) along with his brother Darryl (from UTEP), and he’ll now follow his brother into the portal. In his lone season at IU, Minor was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten. He made 29 tackles on the season and was credited with four pass breakups in 615 total snaps played on the season. Indiana is slated to have one of the top guards in the class of 2025 on campus. Junior 5-star Meleek Thomas is planning to take an official visit to IU, national analyst Rob Cassidy of Rivals is reporting. “I want to go take more official visits,” Thomas told Cassidy, who has already been to Pitt, Auburn, Kentucky, Penn State, and others. “I’m going to take officials to UConn, Arkansas, and Indiana.” Thomas has already been on multiple unofficial visits to Bloomington in 2022, including when Indiana hosted North Carolina. “The atmosphere is crazy there. Two former Hoosiers signed training camp deals with the New York Giants, while another was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks. One-year wide receiver DeQuece Carter and veteran long-snapper Sean Wracher will both be with the Giants for training camp. After transferring in from Fordham following the 2022 season, Carter appeared in all 12 IU games in 2023 with three starts. Former IU football defensive end Andre Carter will get his shot to make an NFL roster. The honorable mention All-Big Ten performer signed a free agent deal with Jacksonville on Saturday following the NFL Draft. Carter was among the most disruptive defensive linemen in the Big Ten and finished his one season on campus with 49 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks. Former Indiana linebacker Aaron Casey didn’t get drafted, but he has signed a free agent deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. The All-Big Ten performer met with the AFC North franchise earlier in the week. Now he’ll try to follow in the footsteps of several recent IU linebackers who have seen the field in the NFL. The 6-foot-5 Mullins is a consensus 4-star and top-100 recruit in the 2025 class. Mullins averaged 25 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game for Greenfield Central H.S. IU football picked up a commitment from a class of 2025  top-40 cornerback on Friday evening. 6-foot-1 and 173-pound Chris McCorkle announced his commitment to Indiana on his social media pages.  The Hoosiers offered him in January, and McCorkle has scheduled an official visit to Indiana on May 31. The Sarasota, Fla. (Cardinal Mooney H.S.) product plays both sides of the ball in high school.  He posted 13 receptions for 371 yards and seven TDs on offense, and added 37 tackles, nine interceptions and 15 pass break-ups on defense. Luke Goode will follow in the footsteps of his father and uncles. The 6-foot-7 Illinois wing announced he is transferring to Indiana. Goode immediately gives IU a potent three-point shooting threat on the perimeter. In 20.1 minutes per game in 2023-24, Goode averaged 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest for the Illini.  His shooting splits were 45.5% from two, 38.9% from three, and 65.2% from the foul line.
