Penn State verbal pledge Lavar Keys surprised folks when it became public he was on an official visit at Indiana over the weekend.
A wide receiver at DeMatha H.S. in Maryland, Keys has been committed to Penn State since last summer. He had 63 catches and 13 touchdowns as a junior.
The 5-foot-11 Keys is a 3-star according to the industry average, and the No. 120 receiver in the 2026 class. On his X bio he reports a 4.32 40-yard dash.
Indiana is also pursuing another 2026 wide receiver who decommitted from Penn State, Jerquaden Guilford of Ft. Wayne, Ind.
The Hoosiers have one wide receiver in their 2026 class, Kortez Rupert. They’re in Guilford’s final four and now apparently trying to convince Keys to make the switch too. We’ll continue to monitor what happens here.
Keys’ junior season highlights are below.
