IU basketball is one of six finalists for 4-star class of 2026 forward Davion Adkins.
According to a Saturday report by Joe Tipton of Rivals, Adkins has also scheduled an official visit to IU.
Hailing from Texas, Adkins is ranked the No. 36 overall player in the 2026 class and the No. 5 power forward based on the average of the national sites.
Going forward, Adkins will consider Indiana, Auburn, Houston, Kansas, Rutgers and UCLA. He now attends national prep school Prolific Prep in Florida.
Playing for Southern Assault on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit this spring and summer, Adkins posted 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 58.5% overall and 77.6% from the foul line. He made just 1 of 15 from three.
According to Tipton’s report, the 6-foot-8 Adkins will visit all six schools. He’ll visit IU first on the weekend of September 13.
Indiana is also getting visits from 2026 top-40 products Tay Kinney (Aug. 29-31) and Deron Rippey (Oct. 17-19) in the months to come. The Hoosiers have a commitment from 2026 3-star guard Prince-Alexander Moody.
Adkins told The Daily Hoosier earlier this month he’s been in regular contact with the IU staff since they offered him in May. He’s been on Tier 1 of the TDH board of 2026 prospects for a couple months.
