Indiana is in the final five for class of 2026 4-star guard Junior County, he announced on Monday evening.
In addition to IU, County is still also considering UConn, Maryland, Arizona, and Purdue.
The IU staff has made up ground quick in this recruitment, only offering him three weeks ago.
County hasn’t announced any visit plans to this point, but his inclusion of IU in a relatively narrow group means it’s likely a visit to Bloomington will happen over the next few months.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is a consensus 4-star across the national sites. Based on the national average, he’s the No. 37 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 7 point guard. He’s listed as a point guard by some sites, and a shooting guard by others. Combo guard is probably the best description.
County has been one of the biggest stock-risers in the class over the last year. He’s from Utah and attends Wasatch Academy for school.
For travel basketball he plays for the Utah Prospects on the Nike EYBL Circuit. This spring and summer he averaged 12.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 47.7% from two and 30% from three.
