As you’d expect, Trayce Jackson-Davis has been keeping a close eye on IU football.

The second-year NBA big man was asked on Monday at Golden State Warriors media day whether Indiana is still just a basketball school.

“I’m not gonna say we’re not just a basketball school, or we are,” TJD responded.  “We are an everything school. We’re a soccer school. We’ve had natties in soccer, basketball. And now football is on the rise, so shoutout coach Cig and the Hoosiers.”

After starting at times a year ago, Jackson is presently the backup to starter Kurtis Rourke.

Jackson-Davis is entering his second season with the Warriors.

After being drafted late in the second round, the Greenwood, Ind. product gave Golden State more athleticism and size underneath last season, firmly establishing himself as the team’s starting center by the campaign’s end.

He finished his first NBA season averaging 7.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 68 games with the Warriors. He shot 70.2 percent from the field in his first campaign in the league, and finished 11th in NBA All-Rookie Team voting.
