Below are the game-by-game predictions for the 2024 IU football season by The Daily Hoosier staff shared this week on the East 17th Street podcast.
First, here’s a summary of the predictions:
- The Consensus Wins: FIU, Western Illinois, Charlotte, Northwestern, Purdue
- The Consensus Losses: UCLA, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State
- Mixed Reviews: Maryland, Washington, Michigan State
Each of the three games with mixed reviews had two win predictions for IU, and one loss, and averaging those scores resulted in one more win than the total wins (seven) predicted by any one individual.
Averaging the staff’s picks, five of the games (UCLA, Maryland, Northwestern, Washington and Michigan State) are all expected to be one score games. These are the games most likely to swing Curt Cignetti’s first season in Bloomington.
