Former IU basketball forward Reed Bailey is part of a group of 50 players seeking an injunction to play a fifth year of eligibility.
That’s according to a report by Pete Nakos of On3.
It’s not clear if Bailey is seeking a return to Indiana. The Hoosiers have an open roster spot and coach Darian DeVries said earlier this week the program is open to a late addition.
Graduate transfers are now required to enter the transfer portal during the lone spring window open for all players. It’s unclear if Bailey entered the transfer portal. There have been no reports he entered. Indiana was unable to confirm with The Daily Hoosier whether he entered.
Bailey played for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Summer League earlier this month.
After transferring to IU from Davidson, Bailey appeared in all 32 games with 10 starts. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 19.1 minutes per game and shot 57.0% (77-of-135) from the floor.
