Former one-and-done IU star Romeo Langford is headed to Texas according to reports.

The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach is reporting Langford has been dealt to the San Antonio Spurs in connection with a trade involving Josh Richardson, Derrick White and a draft choice.

The 14th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Langford is averaging career highs in points (4.7) and rebounds (2.4) this season with Boston while playing 16.5 minutes per contest.  He dealt with numerous injuries during his first two seasons in the league and played in just 32 games in 2019-20, and 18 in 2020-21. Overall Langford has appeared in 94 NBA games, averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14.7 minutes.

Langford was named second team All-Big Ten by the coaches during his lone season (2018-19) at Indiana. He played in and started 32 games and was the top freshman scorer in the Big Ten and the IU leader with 16.5 points per contest. Langford had the third highest scoring average among major college freshmen.

    Zeller waived by Portland

According to a report by Jason Quick of The Athletic, former IU star Cody Zeller is looking for a new home.

The eight-year NBA veteran is being waived by Portland.  Zeller spent his entire career with the Charlotte Hornets before signing a one-year free agent deal with Portland last July.

Zeller has appeared in 27 games for the Trail Blazers this season, posting averages of 5.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13.1 minutes.

The Blazers made the move to open a roster spot to make room for the players the team received in a trade.

Zeller underwent successful surgery on Jan. 25 to address his right patellar avulsion fracture.
