Pro Hoosiers: Eric Gordon, Bahamas come up short in Olympic qualifier final | Ware erupts for 26

Former IU basketball one-and-done star Eric Gordon will not get a chance to represent his mother’s native country in the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Bahamas lost to Spain 86-78 on Sunday evening with a trip to Paris on the line.

Gordon scored 15 points in the loss on 5-of-11 shooting.

Now the former Hoosier will turn his attention to his 17th season in the NBA.  Gordon has signed to play for Philadelphia in 2024-25, his 17th season in the NBA.

Meanwhile, another one year and done former Hoosier is getting set to embark on his first NBA season.

And Kel’el Ware put together a dominant effort in his second NBA Summer League appearance playing for the Miami Heat.

The 7-footer posted a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds.  He made 12-of-19 shots from two and added 3 assists and a block in 30 minutes of action.

Ware said he was more comfortable on Sunday in his second Summer League game after dealing with some first game nerves.  His highlights and post-game interview after a 102-86 Miami win are below.
