Indiana is in the final five for class of 2026 5-star center Arafan Diane, according to a report by Joe Tipton of Rivals. Diane confirmed the news on his Instagram page.
Diane will take an official visit to IU in October during homecoming weekend.
Joining IU in Diane’s final five are Arkansas, Houston, Kentucky, and Virginia. He previously cut his list down to 12 schools.
The 7-foot Diane has scheduled official visits to each of his finalists:
- Kentucky: September 12–14
- Arkansas: September 19–21
- Virginia: September 26–28
- Indiana: October 17–19
- Houston: October 24–26
Diane is the No. 1 ranked center and the No. 19 overall player in the 2026 class according to the average of the national outlets. At well over 250 pounds, he is one of, if not the most physically imposing players in the senior class.
In July Diane told TDH Indiana was one of the schools in regular contact with him, pushing for an official visit.
Indiana head coach Darian DeVries and assistants went to visit Diane this week on the first day allowed on the NCAA calendar.
Playing for Iowa United on the Adidas circuit this spring and summer, Diane averaged 18.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting 74.4% from the field including 58.3% (7 of 12) from three. He led the circuit in rebounds. His spring and summer highlights are below.
