IU women’s basketball has landed its second player out of the transfer portal.
Forward Jess Petrie has committed to the Hoosiers, per reports. She entered the portal out of Nebraska, and visited Indiana Monday before committing. She has one year of eligibility remaining.
Petrie has started 23 games in each of the last two years at Nebraska. She took a big step forward this past season, going from 6.4 points per game as a sophomore to 11.3 as a junior. The Gold Coast, Australia native added 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 blocks, and one steal per game in 2025-26. She shot 45 percent from the floor, 29 percent from 3-point range, and 77 percent at the foul line.
Petrie joins Iowa State transfer Alisa Williams in committing to Teri Moren’s program out of the portal. The Hoosiers now have 10 scholarship players on the 2026-27 roster.
