All three outlets that cover football recruiting — ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports — are singing from the same sheet: Indiana is the leader to flip former Penn State class of 2026 wide receiver commit Lavar Keys, national reporters from each have said this week.
Keys took a visit to Indiana for this past weekend’s game against UCLA, a 56-6 blowout win for the Hoosiers. He also visited Bloomington over the summer, when rumors of a potential flip first surfaced.
Since he de-committed from Penn State, Keys has picked up offers from Indiana, Kansas State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and others. He says he plans to visit Maryland this weekend for their game against Indiana before announcing his next move.
The 5-foot-11 Keys is a 3-star according to the industry average, and the No. 117 receiver in the 2026 class. On his X bio he reports a 4.32 40-yard dash. And his speed shows up on his highlight reels. Keys’ midyear senior season highlights are below.
Keys had 63 catches and 13 touchdowns as a junior.
Indiana currently has two receiver commits in its 2026 class: Walker Bryson, from Rabun Gap, Ga., and Kortez Rupert, from East St. Louis, Ill.
