The Big Ten conference announced on Tuesday morning the men’s basketball conference opponents for next season.

Indiana will face Iowa, Michigan State, and Northwestern at home only in 2023-24, and Illinois, Michigan, and Rutgers away only.

The Hoosiers will face the remaining teams (Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, and Wisconsin) twice.

The league enters its sixth year playing a 20-game conference schedule and each team will play seven opponents twice, three opponents only at home, and three opponents on the road. Dates, times, and television designations will be announced later this summer.

The 2023-24 campaign will be the final season of 14 teams before the league adds UCLA and USC.  It remains to be seen whether the Big Ten will modify its approach to scheduling when the two former Pac-12 squads are added to the slate.

Indiana will also face two of UConn, Texas, and Louisville at the Empire Classic in New York in November, and they’ll host Kansas in December.  The rest of IU’s 2023-24 non-conference schedule has not been released.
