IU football announces week four game against Illinois has sold out

Single-game tickets for Indiana Football’s Sept. 20 game against Illinois are sold out, the program announced on Thursday.

Kickoff and television details have not yet been released for the game, which is widely expected to be one of the top games in the nation that week.  Both Illinois and Indiana are thought to be in the conversation for the College Football Playoff, and both teams are likely to be ranked headed into the matchup.

Additional Memorial Stadium sellouts are possible in the coming weeks for the program, which is coming off its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance in 2024. Currently, single-game tickets remain on sale for IU’s other six 2025 home games.

Indiana says there is limited inventory remaining for the Aug. 30 season opener against Old Dominion (which will include the first public appearance of IU’s new mascot, Hoosier the Bison), and the Homecoming match-up against Michigan State on Oct. 18.

Indiana is coming off a program record for season attendance at Memorial Stadium in 2024 after selling out the final four home games of the year.

IU coach Curt Cignetti said Wednesday he expects all of the 2025 games will sell out, while recognizing the challenges presented by the week three Friday night game against Indiana State.

“I expect us to sell out. I know one of those games is a Friday night game. It gets a little tougher to get to the stadium for some people on a Friday night, but we create a lot of excitement around here, and I expect us to have great crowds,” Cignetti said.

Fans who are interested in attending any of IU’s home games can purchase the remaining tickets through IUHoosiers.com.  Fans still interested in securing tickets to the Illinois game or specific seats for the other games can visit Stub Hub using our affiliate link.

Fans are also encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase gameday parking at the IU website.

All IU Athletics Complex parking in and around the stadium (including the grass lots south of the stadium) are already sold out. But there remain a series of on-campus parking opportunities that are within one mile of the stadium that can be purchased in advance for $50/game. Only single-game ticket buyers are eligible to purchase a single-game parking pass.
