Your first chance to see the 2026 Indiana Hoosiers arrives in less than a month.
Indiana announced today the 2026 spring game will commence at 8 p.m. ET inside Memorial Stadium on April 23.
The start of the game coincides with the start of the 2026 NFL Draft. Former IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick.
Several factors could lead to a big crowd this year. Many fans were unable to attend the national championship celebration in January due to freezing temperatures and a looming storm. But the late April weather, ahead of IU’s popular Little 500 weekend, should be much more pleasant. Moreover, it will be a fun way for fans to experience Mendoza being drafted.
The stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m. ET.
There has not been an announcement yet regarding television or streaming of the game.
If the same format as the last two years is utilized, the contest will feature two 15-minute periods in an offense vs. defense format with each side accumulating points based on the following scoring system:
Touchdown – 6 points
Extra Point – 1 point
Field Goal – 3 points
Turnover Gained – 4 points
Defensive Stop – 3 points
Safety – 2 points
Last year’s game was the only time Indiana tackled throughout the spring and fall camp.
In addition to seeing the returning stars from last season’s historic 16-0 season, the spring game will be the first chance for IU fans to see new additions to the team, including quarterback Josh Hoover, wide receiver Nick Marsh, running back Turbo Richard, cornerback A.J. Harris, and many others.
More details on the game, including broadcast information, admission, and other special opportunities will be announced at a later date.
