Let’s continue our look back at each of Indiana’s 16 wins in 2025 via BTN’s 60 minute condensed versions of each game. Below is week 4, Indiana’s dominant 63-10 win over Illinois that put the college football world on notice.
IU cornerback D’Angelo Ponds ran free off the edge, blocked an Illinois punt, and returned it for an 11-yard score to set the tone early.
Fernando Mendoza sliced through the Illinois defense, completing 21 of 23 throws for 267 yards with 5 touchdowns and no interceptions.
The Hoosiers held Illinois to just two rushing yards on 20 attempts. A major factor was seven IU sacks for 47 yards, along with 10 tackles for loss.
