Indiana and the Bulldogs tip-off at 8 p.m. ET on BTN.

    ———————————————————————–

    SECOND HALF

Hoosiers lead 76-36 with 11:43 left.

    • Pretty safe to move on to Marquette at this point. The Hoosiers are dominating. 64% from the field, 42% from three.
    • Indiana’s shooting is going to be their identity, no doubt. That could dictate their season largely, though. You certainly can’t expect to shoot those numbers on any given night, especially when they get into Big Ten play. If they keep getting those open looks consistently, this is certainly going to be an exciting team to watch year-long.

Indiana up 65-25 with 16:22 in the game.

    • Oh boy, this team is fun. Tayton Conerway, with a fastbreak all alone, could have had a layup but put it off the glass to a trailing Reed Bailey for the slam. A lot of energy in the Assembly Hall right now.

    HALFTIME: Indiana 58, Alabama A&M 22

    FIRST HALF

IU up 48-18 with 3:34 in the half.

    • Lamar Wilkerson leads all scorers with 15 so far. 5-8 from the field, 4-7 from three. Sam Alexis is following him with 11.
    • Not much to say from that last sequence. Indiana is doing a really good job on both sides of the floor. If I had to nit-pick, it would be passing up a few open opportunities. It seemed there were a few sequences where they passed to a tougher look.

Indiana leads 34-10 with 7:52 in the half.

    • Lots and lots of fouls are being called. Each team has nine. This would certainly pose a bigger threat for Indiana if it were different circumstances, but a lot of the calls have been fairly weak.
    • One thing I can point out is IU’s lack of inside presence. Reed Bailey and Sam Alexis have both done well, but neither has really shown any game down low, offensively speaking.

9-0 run for the Hoosiers since the last timeout. 23-5 with 12:36 in the half.

    • Lamar Wilkerson pulled one from a step behind NBA range and cashed it to force a timeout. Right before that, he converted on a 4-point play. He can light it up.
    • The overall run for Indiana is 23-2 over the last 7:11. Hoosiers are 7-10 from the field, and 4-6 from three.

Indiana has a 14-5 lead through the first media timeout, 15:07 left in the half.

    • Good energy from the Hoosiers so far on both sides of the floor. They’ve made their last four from the field and have held A&M to 2-8 from the field.
    • Lamar Wilkerson with a quick three and a layup to lead IU with 5. Reed Bailey has four from the free throw line, and DeVries knocked in a three. Quality starts for the starters.

    PREGAME NOTES

    • Folks, the Darian DeVries is about 30 minutes from officially starting. IU has three players out to injury with Josh Harris, Jason Drake, and Aleksa Ristic.
    • On the flipside, Nick Dorn, who was unavailable for both exhibition matches, is listed as questionable. Dorn participated in all warmups and is dressed to play.
    • Very interested to see if Indiana can handle business cleanly in this one. Season openers and early nonconference games have not been the most comfortable of watches in recent years.
    • Officially, no Nick Dorn for Indiana tonight, per Darian DeVries on his pregame radio spot.
