A pair of top ten teams faced off over the weekend as 4A No. 1 Lawrence North took on Hammond at the Sneakers for Santa event in Brownsburg.
IU basketball class of 2022 recruiting target C.J. Gunn (#4/white) led the way for Lawrence North with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Indiana offered Gunn a scholarship over the summer.
Also on the court for Lawrence North is IU football class of 2021 quarterback commit Donaven McCulley (#14), Butler bound big man D.J. Hughes (#5) and Division One prospect Shamar Avance (#10).
Hammond had a shot at the buzzer to win it but came up short, 52-51.
