IU basketball recruiting: Hoosiers offer class of 2025 top-30 guard Darius Adams

Indiana has offered class of 2025 combo guard Darius Adams.  Andrew Slater announced the IU offer to the New Jersey product on Twitter.

Adams will team this season with long-time in-state IU guard target Jalen Haralson at prep power La Lumiere in LaPorte, Ind.

In two seasons at Manasquan H.S. (Manasquan, N.J.),  Adams scored 1,097 points.

This past season, he averaged 20.4, 7.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals while earning the Shore Sports Network Player of the Year Award and Third-Team All-State honors from NJ Advance Media.

Adams led Manasquan to a 53-10 record during his two seasons.

For spring and summer basketball, Adams plays for the New York-based PSA Cardinals.  That’s the same program that IU 2024 guard target Boogie Fland plays for.

Listed at around 6-foot-4, Adams is best known thus far for his ability as a shooter, but his game is expanding.

247Sports’ national recruiting analyst Adam Finkelstein wrote this evaluation of Adams this summer:

“Adams is a very promising young guard who has good positional size, a lot of natural skill, and an instinctive feel for the game to match. Give him some time to grow into his body and mature physically, and his upside should be among the very best of this group.”

According to the On3 Industry Average, Adams is a 4-star, the No. 29 player overall in the class of 2025, and the No. 10 shooting guard.

Adams already holds offers from Penn State, Washington, Syracuse, Rutgers, Florida State, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Xavier, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Villanova, Nebraska, and Providence, among other programs.

Adams’ sister Destiny plays for Rutgers.

2025 G 6-foot-5 Darius Adams had himself an eye-opening grassroots season — headed to powerhouse La Lumiere (IN) for his junior year.

A 3-level scoring guard, plays at his own pace, has length, able to space the floor with his shooting, and very crafty finishing around the rim. pic.twitter.com/0nHEknwKA5
