Indiana made what appears to be their first class of 2028 offer on Thursday evening.
The IU staff offered rising sophomore wing Boogie Cook. In his social media posts announcing the offer, Cook said it was his first Division I offer. Schools like Purdue and Louisville and others are also involved.
The Louisville, Ky. product attends Christian Academy of Louisville.
The 6-foot-7 Cook played in front of the IU staff at the program’s team camp in Bloomington earlier this month.
For travel basketball Cook plays on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit for Indiana Elite 2028. Thus far he is averaging 10.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He is shooting 52.0 percent overall, including 36.8 percent from three.
Cook has good positional size, especially for his age, and should develop into skilled combo forward during his prep tenure.
