Indiana continues to place a premium on long wing shooters. The IU staff offered class of 2027 Wisconsin-based wing Jack Kohnen this week.
The 6-foot-6 Kohnen is a top-100 4-star at Rivals and 247Sports in the junior class.
Kohnen attends Slinger H.S. in Slinger, Wisc. As a sophomore there he averaged 23.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.6 blocks while 54.5% shooting from the field overall, and 34.6% from three according to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. He earned Division 2 All-State honors.
For travel basketball, Kohnen plays for Team Herro on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He posted 14.9 points and 8.6 rebounds while shooting 37% from three in seven Peach Jam contests. He is a teammate of Dooney Johnson, who IU offered earlier this year.
On film Kohnen checks all the boxes, with length, athleticism and skill on the wing. His summer highlights are below.
Kohnen also holds offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Marquette, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others.
Indiana currently has one commit in the 2027 class — 4-star guard Chase Branham.
