Indiana is still expanding its class of 2026 offer list.
Rising senior wing Aiden Derkack announced an offer from the IU staff on Sunday afternoon.
According to the industry average of the national recruiting outlets, Derkack is a 4-star, the No. 84 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 24 shooting guard.
The 6-foot-6 Derkack attends Colonia H.S. in Colonia, N.J., where he averaged 24.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game as a junior.
While IU is entering his recruitment relatively late, Derkack has not yet announced a group of finalists or official visits.
Derkack comes from a basketball family. His brother Jordan played for Rutgers last season and will play for Dayton in 2025-26. His sister Taylor is his high school’s all-time leading scorer and plays for UMass. His father played college basketball at Florida International.
For travel basketball Derkack plays for Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit. This spring he averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 50.9% overall including 28.3% from three. He was also a top performer at the Pangos All-American Camp where he averaged 18.8 points.
Derkack has a relatively thin build, but he plays with an aggressive, downhill, unafraid style and his good ball handling skills for his size. He’s streaky as a shooter but has had some big games beyond the arc this spring and summer.
In addition to IU, Derkack has offers from Rutgers, Villanova, Notre Dame, Creighton, Miami, TCU, Xavier, Providence, Dayton, Oklahoma State, Maryland and others.
