Indiana has made the final six for one of the top guards in the 2026 class.
Jordan Smith, Jr. announced his final schools on his Instagram page Tuesday afternoon and included the Hoosiers.
Going forward, Smith, Jr. will also still consider Duke, Kentucky, Arkansas, Georgetown and Syracuse.
Smith, Jr. was a longtime travel teammate of IU 2026 commit Prince-Alexander Moody. They played for Team Takeover, a Nike EYBL program that IU assistant coach Kenny Johnson has deep ties to.
In a story published Tuesday, Smith, Jr. told Rivals’ Joe Tipton about his bond with Johnson.
“Kenny (Johnson) always been there from the start. He helped me get into PVI, helped me with Takeover. He’s always been a helping hand, I really appreciate him. He’s always been there.”
The 6-foot-2 Smith attends Paul VI in Virginia. He is the No. 3 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 1 shooting guard.
Smith averaged 20.4 points during the Nike EYBL Peach Jam. His highlights are below.
