Indiana welcomes class of 2026 consensus top-25 center Ethan Taylor to Bloomington this weekend for an official visit.

Indiana Connections — IU assistant coach Rod Clark has close ties to the Mokan Elite AAU program where Taylor played and Clark coached for a couple years. Clark is also from the Kansas City area, like Taylor. Clark has been leading this recruitment, and he was recruiting Taylor when he was an assistant coach at Tennessee and offered in 2024.
On Indiana: “They’ve been really intentional with keeping in touch and building a relationship with not only me but my parents,” Taylor told Dushawn London, national reporter for 247Sports. “The play style is what I like. The offense flows through the big and the big is used in the offense. I won’t be staying on the block, I’ll be expanding my game, which I appreciate.”
Pedigree — His sister Kennedy played college basketball at Kansas State, Missouri State and Colorado.
Numbers — As a junior for Shawnee Mission Northwest H.S. (Shawnee, Kan.), Taylor averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. He was named first team all-state. The team won back-to-back state titles.
Playing for Mokan Elite, Taylor averaged 9.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game during the EYBL season. He led the EYBL in field goal percentage (75%) during Peach Jam.
