Indiana picked up a commitment from class of 2026 wing Vaughn Karvala on Saturday afternoon. He announced the decision at his school with his family.
The 6-foot-6 Karvala is the No. 42 ranked player in the 2026 class.
Karvala chose IU over Xavier and California. He took an official visit to Indiana Oct. 17-19, and shut down his recruitment shortly thereafter.
Karvala will play his senior season in Arizona at Bella Vista Prep in the EYBL Scholastic League. He’s a long athletic wing and a high-level 3-point shooter who should fit well in coach Darian DeVries’ system.
As a junior at Oregon H.S. (Oregon, Wisc.), Karvala posted 26.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 53.5% from the field overall including 41.9% from three.
Indiana now has two commits in its 2026 class. Karvala joins Maryland-based guard Prince-Alexander Moody.
