1976 Jersey Patches
This season represents the 50-year anniversary of Indiana basketball’s undefeated 1975-76 season. IU is the last team to finish a season undefeated. The team will wear a tribute patch on their jerseys this season.

Alabama A&M’s Donte’ Jackson
Donte’ Jackson is in his first season as head coach of the Alabama A&M men’s basketball program. Across eight Division 1 seasons at Grambling State, he has compiled an overall record of 132-124 (.516).
Jackson began his coaching career with stints at the D2 level with Central State and Stillman. In 2017, Jackson was named the head coach at Grambling State and had some impressive seasons. Jackson won the SWAC regular season title in his first year, but could not play in the postseason due to poor academics.
Jackson would accomplish that twice more through 2022-2024, and would bring the Tigers to the SWAC Tournament Championship and the NCAA Tournament in the 2023-24 season. However, Jackson would struggle in the next year, earning a 12-22 overall record. Jackson would resign from his position and accept a conference-lateral move to Alabama A&M in the offseason.
Alabama A&M’s Results and Roster
Alabama A&M went 10-22 last season and has not had a winning record since 2005.
| DATE | OPPONENT | LOCATION | RESULT |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11/2/2024 | Blue Mountain Christian | Huntsville, AL | W 80-60 |

As seen on their printable roster, the Bulldogs bring over seven transfers from Jackson’s previous spot, Grambling State. One of note is James Graham III, who led Alabama A&M on 8-14 shooting and 18 points in their first game against Blue Mountain Christian. Graham redshirted last season at Grambling due to injury. Indiana offered Graham as a high school prospect in the class of 2020.
Also scoring 18 points was bench player Peyton Daniels Sr. Daniels seems to be an outside shooting threat, as all of his points were scored on made threes. Veteran players such as Koron Davis and Kintavious Dozier are also potential contributors.
Game Notes (per Indiana Athletics)
Exhibition vs. Baylor
• The Hoosiers climbed back to earn a 76-74 victory in the program’s final exhibition game of the preseason against Baylor on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
• Fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson led all scorers in the contest with 26 points to go along with four assists and two rebounds. Redshirt senior forward Tucker DeVries stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks.
• Sixth-year senior guard Tayton Conerway added 17 points, five assists, and three steals. The Troy transfer also sealed the Hoosier victory with a driving layup with just under 8.0 seconds to play.
• The Hoosiers were nearly perfect from the free-throw line and finished 20-of-21 from the charity stripe in the win.
OG’s Pick:
Just like last season, your favorite game previewer will be making game-by-game scoring picks for the 2025-26 season.
Based on Indiana’s exhibition games, this matchup shouldn’t pose any problems for the Hoosiers. Personally, I’m looking to see if IU can get off to faster starts in games like these, as well as keep a good energy level throughout. Overall, look for the Hoosiers to go 1-0, and let’s throw in a 30-piece for Tucker DeVries.
PICK: Indiana 92 – Alabama A&M 63
