Class of 2027 guard Chase Branham has committed to Indiana while on an official visit in Bloomington this weekend.
Based on the average of the national recruiting sites, Branham is the No. 42 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 12 shooting guard.
Indiana’s new staff offered the 6-foot-4 Branham in late March. Several members of the IU staff have ties back to Branham’s area and his AAU program. This was his second visit to Bloomington.
“I’ve had the feeling since the first visit. Just felt a connection. From the coaches, to the players, to the place, it just felt like home,” Branham told Rivals’ Joe Tipton on why he picked Indiana.
As a sophomore at Logan-Rogersville H.S. (Rogersville, Mo.) he averaged 19.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and almost four assists per game while shooting 62% from the field.
Branham is IU’s first commit in the 2027 class.
He picked the Hoosiers over Purdue, Missouri, Iowa, Tennessee, Creighton and others.
