Indiana Football With Four More Class of 2019 Commitments Today

    (Updated to include Kervens Bonhomme)

Well, we didn’t expect to be doing another Indiana football recruiting update so soon.  But with four more commitments so far today, and nine in the past five days — we had little choice.  The enthusiasm is contagious — Tom Allen and his staff are getting results — and once again it is their Florida connection that is delivering.

After securing nearly a third of his 2018 class from the Sunshine State, Allen now has received four more commitments from Florida products in the 2019 class, including three today.

According to the 24/7 Sports Composite, IU’s 2019 class is now ranked No. 29 nationally, and 9th in the Big Ten at the time this report was updated after the Kervens Bonhomme commitment.

Here is a quick synopsis on today’s commits:

    KERVENS BONHOMME

Originally from Canada, Bonhomme is a 6-foot-2, 230 pound outside linebacker that will play his final high season in Clearwater, Florida.  His other offers included Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Georgia State, Kent State, Maine, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Old Dominion, South Dakota, South Florida, Temple, Toledo, Troy, Tulane, UCF and Western Kentucky.  Bonhomme is a 3-star rated prospect.

    GARY COOPER

Cooper is a 6-foot-3, 230 pound tight end from Miami, Florida.   He also had offers from Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse and Utah.  Cooper is a 3-star rated prospect.

Cooper is a special talent with athleticism and physicality that should translate well to the Big Ten.  It is clear from his junior season highlights why he was also on the radar of some of the nation’s best programs.  It is worth your time to at least watch him truck a linebacker on the first play:

    DORIAN JONES

Jones is from West Palm Beach, Florida.  The 6-foot-0, 220 pound inside linebacker had offers from Buffalo, Marshall, Old Dominion, South Florida, Syracuse and Temple.  Jones is a 3-star rated prospect.

    SEAN WRACHER

Wracher is from Cleveland, Ohio.  He is a 6-foot-4, 185 long snapper that also held offers from Air Force, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Toledo.  KohlsKicking.com considers Wracher a five-star prospect and the No. 4 long snapper nationally in 2019.

Indiana is now up to 11 total verbal commits for the 2019 class.  You can continue to monitor the class progress and their standing in the national rankings here.  At this point, you might want to check back daily.
