    Hoosiers in the NFL: Week 6 results and notes for former IU football stars in the league

    Six weeks of the 2021 NFL season are now complete for former IU stars with teams in the league.

    Take a look at how they all did with our quick recap of the Hoosiers in the NFL.

    Tevin Coleman (RB) – New York Jets

    The Jets had a bye week. Their next game is Sunday at New England.

    On the season, Tevin Coleman has 21 carries for 73 yards in four games played.

    Dan Feeney (OL) – New York Jets

    Dan Feeney started all 16 games and played 100 percent of the offensive snaps last year for the Los Angeles Chargers. He also played in 16 percent of the special teams snaps.

    Now with the Jets Feeney is a backup offensive lineman and appeared in 11 special teams snaps on the season.

    Brandon Knight (OL) – Baltimore Ravens

    The 2021 season marks Brandon Knight’s third in the NFL.

    For his career, he has appeared in 21 games while starting 10.

    Knight was waived by the Cowboys on Saturday.  On Monday, the Ravens were awarded Knight off of waivers.

    Rodger Saffold (OL) – Tennessee Titans

    Rodger Saffold played in and started his sixth consecutive game this season for the Tennessee Titans, appearing in 100 percent of the team’s offensive snaps and 21 percent of special teams snaps.

    The Titans are first in the AFC South and 4-2 on the season following their 34-31 victory against the Buffalo Bills last night.

    Saffold has now appeared in 151 NFL games with 148 starts.  He is the longest tenured Hoosier in the NFL.

    Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (WR) – Tennessee Titans

    Nick Westbrook-Ikhine returned to action after he was inactive for the Titans win last weekend due to a hamstring injury.

    He had three receptions on three targets for 27 yards in the Titans victory.

    On the season, he has 12 receptions for 125 yards and one touchdown.

    Ian Thomas (TE) – Carolina Panthers

    Ian Thomas played in his sixth game of the season for the Panthers on Sunday, playing 54 percent of the team’s offensive snaps in their 34-28 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

    He recorded one catch for 41 yards on two targets.

    On 14 targets this season, Thomas has 10 receptions for 120 yards.

    Jason Spriggs (OL) – Atlanta Falcons

    Jason Spriggs is in his fifth NFL season and first with Atlanta.

    The Falcons, 2-3, were on a bye week. Their next game is Sunday on the road at Miami.

    Spriggs has played in all five games this season and in 49 his for career, registering nine starts.

    Jamar Johnson (DB) – Denver Broncos

    Jamar Johnson was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.

    He made the active roster but was inactive for their Week 6 loss against the Oakland Raiders.

    Wes Martin (OG) – New York Giants

    Wes Martin was active for the Giants week six loss to the Rams.  He played on 35 percent of their offensive snaps and four percent on special teams.

    Martin has now been with the Giants for a few weeks after being waived from the Washington practice squad.  For his career he has appeared in 27 games with 10 starts.

    Nate Sudfeld (QB) – San Francisco 49ers

    Nate Sudfeld was on the active gameday roster for week five as the backup quarterback after spending the first four weeks on the practice squad.  He did not get in the game.  The 49ers were on bye this weekend.

    For his career Sudfeld has played in four games and he is 25 of 37 passing for 188 yards and a touchdown.

    PRACTICE SQUADS:

    Jordan Howard is on the Eagles practice squad.
