Nine former Indiana University football players have registered at least one snap during the 2018 NFL season through October.  Below is a summary of their performance during the season through eight weeks.

    TEVIN COLEMAN, RB, ATLANTA FALCONS

    Att – 82
    Yards – 310
    YPC – 3.8
    TD – 2
    Rec – 15
    Rec Yards – 137
    TD – 2

Notes:  Coleman has started in five games for Atlanta and he has seen an expanded role to due an injury to Devonta Freeman.  Coleman recorded a 107 yard game in week two against Carolina and is currently 31st in the NFL in rushing yards.

    CHRIS COVINGTON, LB, DALLAS COWBOYS

Covington has appeared in three games for the Cowboys.  All of his appearances thus far have been on special teams.

DAN FEENEY, G, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

    Games/Started – 7/7

Notes:  Feeney has become a fixture on the Charger offensive line, starting in every game this year.

    JORDAN HOWARD, RB, CHICAGO BEARS

    Att – 112
    Yards – 392
    Avg – 3.5
    TD – 3
    Rec – 11

    Games/Started – 4/1
    Rec – 6
    Yards – 108

    Kickoff returns:  4 returns/89 yards

Notes:  Latimer went on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

RODGER SAFFOLD, OT, LOS ANGELES RAMS

    Games/Started – 8/8

Notes:  Saffold continues to be a dominant fixture on the Rams offensive line.  He is enjoying a great season as the longest tenured Ram.  Saffold has certainly seen the highs and lows of the Rams’ franchise and appears to be on a strong Super Bowl contender this year.

JASON SPRIGGS, OT, GREEN BAY PACKERS

    Games/Started – 6/0

Notes:  Spriggs missed one game with an ankle injury but has appeared in every other game thus far for Green Bay.

    NATE SUDFELD, QB, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

    Photo of Nate Sudfeld

Notes:  Sudfeld continues to sit behind Carson Wentz and Nick Foles.  There was hope that he might benefit in some way from the trade deadline, but it did not happen.  The California native saw extensive preseason action, completing 43 of 74 passes for 524 yards to go with 5 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

    IAN THOMAS, TE, CAROLINA PANTHERS

    Photo of Ian Thomas

    Games/Started – 7/3
    Rec – 11
    Yards – 87
    TD – 0

Notes:  With the return of Greg Olsen, Thomas has returned to a backup role although he is still seeing game action and should continue to do so over the course of the season.

    Practice Squad Players:

    • Robert McCray, Kansas City (injured list)
    • Simmie Cobbs, Washington
    • Shane Wynn, New Orleans
