When it comes to IU football in the Curt Cignetti era, former college All-American, NFL linebacker and long-time ESPN analyst David Pollack is a believer.
On his podcast, Pollack talked about the outlook for the Big Ten this year, and he’s got the same top three teams as most.
But after Oregon, Ohio State and Penn State, Pollack feels Indiana is in the mix for a return trip to the College Football Playoff.
“The fourth team feels very solid to me too. Indiana’s good,” Pollack said on his podcast See Ball Get Ball with David Pollack.
“Indiana, to me, feels like the next team. I could debate you, but there are a lot of things about that Indiana team that are really, really good, and I feel like the staying power, I don’t think they’re going anywhere.”
“The staying power of Indiana is pretty dang cool with Cignetti. If you’re a fan of Indiana you should be jacked about year two.”
Year two of the Cignetti era starts on Aug. 30 when IU hosts Old Dominion. The Hoosiers will get a chance to prove they belong at the top with road trips to both Oregon and Penn State.
