The Big Ten has announced new league football schedules from 2024 through 2028. The news comes following the addition of Washington and Oregon to the conference. Iowa has been selected as the preseason Big Ten Conference favorite by both the league’s 14 head coaches and a select media panel, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The coaches and media also selected Hawkeyes’ senior guard Caitlin Clark as the 2023-24 Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year, marking the third consecutive season the coaches have chosen Clark for the honor. New IU football offensive coordinator Rod Carey was introduced by head coach Tom Allen and met with the media on Wednesday morning in Bloomington. Carey was announced as the OC on Sunday.  He replaces Walt Bell. Indiana has the week off and will face No. 2 Michigan a week from Saturday. Indiana women’s basketball will be featured in the Big Ten Conference television package 16 times this season, the Big Ten announced on Tuesday afternoon. The Hoosiers will play across four different networks including Big Ten Network, FOX, FS1 and Peacock. They will appear on a national broadcast on FOX twice this season, five times on BTN, seven times on Peacock and once on FS1. Indiana has fired offensive coordinator Walt Bell, IU Athletics announced on Sunday afternoon. Rod Carey will step into the role without an interim tag.
