Indiana head coach Teri Moren captured her fourth gold medal with USA Basketball as she led the U19 National Team to an 88-76 win over Australia in the championship game at the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup Sunday night. The U19 team went 3-0 in group play with wins over Korea (134-53), Hungary (79-49) and Israel (114-48). USA pushed through the quarterfinals in a 70-65 win over France while taking down Spain 70-68 in the semifinals. Watch below more than four minutes of new Indiana freshman guard Aleksa Ristic at the 2025 FIBA U20 Eurobasket. The 6-foot-3 Ristic is averaging 13 points and 7 assists per contest for his native Serbia through the first five games.  He’s shooting 53.6% from two, 20.7% from three and 89.5% from the free throw line. Serbia is 5-0 in the event.  They play Saturday in the Eurobasket semifinals against Italy. Former IU basketball great Grace Berger is on the move again. The WNBA’s Dallas Wings have signed Berger to a seven-day hardship contract, the team announced this week. The 6-foot Berger has appeared in one game this WNBA season — 16 minutes in June when she was with the LA Sparks. Berger was the seventh overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2023 WNBA Draft. She averaged 4.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in her rookie season with the Fever, appearing in 36 games. She spent two seasons with Indiana before being waived prior to the 2025 season.…

IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza was named a nominee for the 2025 AFCA Good Works Team, it was announced earlier this week. The AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes from all levels of the sport for their commitment to community service and leadership beyond the gridiron. Last year Mendoza was involved in an initiative at Cal that was near-and-dear to his heart. His mother has multiple sclerosis, and that led him to partner with La Burrita in Berkley to launch the Mendoza Burrito.  Honoring his Cuban heritage with the ingredients, all proceeds from each sale went to the National…

Watch as former IU basketball forward Luke Goode joined Glenn Marini of WANE 15 in Fort Wayne to discuss the denial of his wavier for a fifth season in college basketball, and what’s next. Goode revealed earlier this week that his request for a waiver had been denied. Goode will play this weekend for the Fort Wayne Champs in the The Basketball Tournament.  He could end up playing against the IU alumni team Assembly Ball if both teams advance to the round of 16.
