The roster cut-down deadline for all 32 teams ahead of the 2025 NFL season is today (Aug. 26) at 4 p.m. ET. Each front office must trim its active roster to 53 players by that time. Several former IU football players have been competing for roster spots for the last month. Indiana Athletics has announced a new long-term deal with Merchants Bank that includes the renaming of the playing surface inside Memorial Stadium. The deal will provide $50 million to IU over 20 years, along with financial literacy training for student athletes.
