The Branch McCracken Court inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall will have a fresh new look in 2025-26. On Wednesday Indiana Athletics posted a video providing a quick peek inside the venerable structure following a refinishing of the hardwood. The main thing that stands out is it appears the yellow/orange tint on the court was replaced with a more modern neutral look. A trio of Indiana football players landed on the latest round of preseason watch lists released Tuesday. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza is on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award list, while offensive lineman Drew Evans and wide receiver E.J. Williams Jr. both landed on the College Football Comeback Player of the Year scroll. Hoosier the Bison, Indiana’s new mascot debuting Aug. 30 is more than just a gameday feature for Indiana Athletics. Ever searching for more opportunities to bring in cash in the era of sharing revenue with players, IU will monetize the furry bovine.
