Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule met with the media last week. Like Indiana, the Cornhuskers were on a bye week ahead of next Saturday’s showdown in Bloomington. Rhule was asked about his early impression of Indiana. Here’s what the second-year Nebraska head coach said about the Hoosiers. The 2024-25 men’s and women’s basketball seasons officially kick off with Hoosier Hysteria at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 18, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. ET with free admission. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to Hoosier Hills Food Bank. This is traditionally one of the organization’s most successful donation events of the year, bringing in as much as 12,000 pounds of food to support those in need in Monroe, Brown, Lawrence, Orange, Owen, and Martin counties. Watch more than eight minutes from IU basketball senior wing Luke Goode meeting with the media at the program’s in-house media day. Goode was one of six players to appear in all 38 games during Illinois’ run to the 2024 Elite 8. He averaged 5.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game. Indiana women’s basketball will be featured on national TV broadcasts across multiple major networks 13 times during the 2024-25 season, the program said via release on Wednesday. Of those 13 scheduled contests, IU will appear on Big Ten Network four times, FS1 twice and one game each on NBC and FOX. Additionally, it will appear on Peacock five times throughout the regular season. 10 of IU’s games will be contests featured inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The broadcast slate gets underway with the Hoosiers hosting Stanford on Nov. 17 (FS1, 2 p.m. ET). IU will round out the 2024 calendar…

As part of a tradition that goes back more than 40 years, IU basketball fans can now order a collector’s item favorite for the 2024-25 season. The men’s and women’s basketball “floating heads” schedule posters are now available. Similar to the last couple years, the posters are being sold since they feature the image of the players. The 18″ x 24″ posters are available for purchase at the Indiana Team Store on-line.
