Bradley assistant coach Mike Bargen is expected to join Darian DeVries’ IU basketball staff, according to a report. His role with the program is not clear at the moment. The news appears to have been first reported by Aaron Ferguson of the Indy Star.  Sources have not been able to confirm the report as of early Friday afternoon. Watch as IU football running back Kaelon Black met with the media this week in connection with the program’s spring practice sessions. A 5-foot-10 and 210-pound redshirt senior, Black has appeared in 40 career games with 16 starts.  He played in 27 games with 16 starts over four seasons at James Madison (2020-23).  For his career Black has produced 2,126 career all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns (7 rushing, 6 receiving). Watch as IU football redshirt junior running back Lee Beebe, Jr. met with the media this week in connection with the program’s ongoing spring practice sessions. Beebe, Jr. transferred in from UAB during the offseason.  As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, the 5-foot-10 and 220-pounder rushed 166 times for 884 yards and seven touchdowns (5.3 YPC). Watch as IU football running back Roman Hemby met with the media on Tuesday in Bloomington as the program continues spring practice. Hemby transferred to IU during the offseason from Maryland.  Over four seasons at Maryland, Hemby played in 42 games and amassed 2,347 yards on the ground with 22 touchdowns. He averaged 4.9 yards per carry. He has also caught 112 passes for 921 passing yards and five touchdowns. To say the least, Hart has had an improbable journey to the Padres’ starting rotation. After leading one of the nation’s top defenses in 2024, Haines signed a new contract during the offseason that made him one of the highest paid assistant coaches in college football.
