Listen as former Big Ten MVP and 1981 national champion Ray Tolbert joined A.J. Guyton on the House of Hoosier podcast. Tolbert won basketball letters as the Hoosiers’ starting center in 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981.  He was teammates with head coach Mike Woodson his first three seasons. The 6-foot-9 Tolbert was an IU co-captain in 1981. A gold medalist on the U.S. 1979 Pan American team, he helped IU to two Big Ten championships and the 1981 NCAA Championship. Indiana head football coach Tom Allen announced on Wednesday the signing of 25 student-athletes to play for the Hoosiers in 2022. Today opened college football’s early signing period, which will run through Friday, Dec. 17. Eighteen of the 25 signed National Letters of Intent, while seven transfers will head to Bloomington.
