Ten IU Athletics programs achieved perfect APR scores in the most recent annual update by the NCAA, and six have a four-year average with a perfect score. The six IU programs that earned a perfect APR each of the last four years are Men’s Basketball, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Tennis and Volleyball. Indiana fans will get a chance to hear from new IU men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries in person in a few weeks, along with football coach Curt Cignetti and several Hoosier athletes. That opportunity will come via the annual “Hoosiers at Huber’s” event May 28 Huber’s Orchard, Winery & Vineyards. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) at IU. With its seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke.  His post-draft media interview is below, along with his college highlights. He is the ninth Hoosier quarterback selected in the NFL Draft’s common draft era and first since Nate Sudfeld was picked by Washington in 2016. The San Francisco 49ers selected Indiana football defensive tackle CJ West with the 113th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.  You can watch his post-draft media availability and highlight reel below. West’s selection on day three of the draft marks the highest pick for a Hoosier since tight end Ian Thomas in 2018. For the second time this week, a former Indiana Baseball player saw his dreams come true. Native Hoosier and former IU outfielder Matt Gorski (2017-19) was called up to join the Pirates, becoming the 38th former IU player to make an appearance in the MLB. The debut on Thursday couldn’t have gone much better for Gorski. In his first career at-bat, he smashed a 434-foot home run that exited the bat at 115 miles per hour.
