Former IU basketball guard Michael Lewis joined the Kent Sterling Show this week. Lewis, now an assistant at UCLA, discusses the Bruins quick turnaround during the 2019-20 season and recounts some stories from his time in Bloomington. The Season Ticket caught up with IU priority class of 2022 recruiting target Alex Karaban.  The interview covers Karaban’s recruitment, high school career, and much more. A 6-foot-8 small forward from the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, Karaban put together a strong sophomore season averaging 20 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest.  One of Indiana’s first class of 2022 heavy pursuits, the Hoosiers offered Karaban a scholarship in March. While reports around the country have not been favorable when it comes to testing returning athletes for COVID-19, the early news out of Bloomington is good. IU Athletics issued a release on Tuesday indicating that 187 athletes, coaches and staff have been tested for the virus thus far, with zero positive cases discovered.  Based on IU’s plan to return athletes to campus, the early tests were administered to athletes, coaches and staff from the football and men’s and women’s basketball programs. A second former Hoosier star has made the BTN All-Decade team as the network continues to roll out its top 16 Big Ten basketball players from 2010 to 2019. To nobody’s surprise, former All-American Indiana guard Victor Oladipo made the cut. One of the all-time greats is gone. Ken Snow, the all-time leading goal scorer in the illustrious history of the Indiana men’s soccer program passed away at the age of 50.
