Baragar went in depth with the Turn a Pair podcast on his surprising quick rise to big leagues and his early days at the highest level of the game. New names continue to emerge on the recruiting trail in the class of 2021 for IU, and the latest is Georgia based guard Miles Kelly. Watch as IU basketball great Landon Turner is inducted into the IU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. The video includes comments from Don Fischer, a letter from Bob Knight read by Bob Hammel, and a speech from Turner. Turner helped lead Indiana to the 1981 national championship game.  Knight referred to Turner as the best player in the country because of his level of play during the last eight weeks of the season including the NCAA Tournament run. The Peach State continues to bear fruit for Indiana. Top-200 class of 2021 Georgia based wide receiver Jaquez Smith announced on Saturday afternoon his verbal commitment to play for the Hoosiers. Devonte Green is heading overseas to begin his professional basketball career. The four year Indiana guard has signed a contract with Charilaos Trikoupis BC of the Greece A1 League. https://twitter.com/Flexbball/status/1294583944776757250?s=20 Playing in Greece’s first division, Trikoupis BC is based in the city of Missolonghi. According to a report by Fox 59 in Indianapolis, police have arrested a man that may be connected to the murder of former IU football player Chris Beaty. 23 year old Alijah Jones is accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in a parking garage in late May in downtown Indianapolis. Marion County court filings indicate that Jones is a witness or suspect in Beaty’s murder, which happened at around the same time and in the same area as the North Delaware Street parking garage where the woman was robbed. It has been a good summer for class of 2022 in-state guard C.J. Gunn. There has been a high major offer, entry into the national rankings, and just generally a lot of buzz surrounding his name.
