The interior of Indiana’s offensive line received its third boost in the last week. In an expected move, guard Dylan Powell (No. 72 in photo) announced his plan to return to IU for a sixth season. That extra season was granted to Powell by the NCAA prior to the organization’s grant of an extra year of eligibility to all fall athletes. IU basketball legend Keith Smart joined the House of Hoosier podcast with A.J. Guyton. Smart is best known for his game-winning shot in the 1987 national championship game, but the IU Hall of Fame inductee has had many more accomplishments during his basketball career. Announcements continue to roll in for Indiana’s 13 players eligible to return due to the special NCAA eligibility extension. Redshirt senior guard Mackenzie Nworah announced on Tuesday that he would be returning to the program for the 2021 season. Kickoff specialist Jared Smolar announced his intent to return on Wednesday.
