The details of Indiana’s 2021-22 non-conference schedule continue to trickle out. According to public records obtained by D1 Docket, Indiana will host Northern Kentucky on Dec. 22 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.  The report indicates IU will pay $85,000 to Northern Kentucky as part of the agreement. The game is the third confirmed non-conference opponent for Indiana out of 11 in total.  IU will also host Merrimack, and face Notre Dame in Indianapolis.  Additionally, the Hoosiers will play in the Big Ten – ACC Challenge, and could also face a Big East opponent in the Gavitt Games.…

The Big Ten Network released a video of each of Indiana’s 28 touchdowns from the 2020 season from multiple angles. The Hoosiers stormed through their Big Ten only schedule with a 6-1 regular season that included wins over Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin.  IU came up short in the Outback Bowl against Ole Miss. Stevie Scott led the way for IU with 10 touchdowns.  Ty Fryfogle (7), Peyton Hendershot (4), Whop Philyor (3), Michael Penix (2), David Ellis (1) and Miles Marshall (1) were the other Hoosiers to find the end zone.  Penix threw for 14 touchdown passes…

Indiana wide receiver Camron Buckley met with the media this week to discuss his decision to transfer to IU from Texas A&M, and his thoughts on the upcoming season. Buckley missed the entire 2020 season due to injury. He suffered a season ending knee injury during fall camp in August, 2020, his final campaign at Texas A&M.  He graduated with a university studies degree in Dec. 2020. Buckley  caught 11 passes for 121 yards in 13 games in 2019. He turned in his best statistical campaign in 2018 when he collected 34 catches for 474 yards and one TD. Buckley…

Indiana coach Mike Woodson made his first class of 2023 scholarship offer on Thursday night.  And the offer went to a priority position in the incoming high school junior class. Indiana has had a strong run during the offseason plucking high end talent from well known programs out of the transfer portal. Could they be primed to now do the same for a second time from the high school ranks? As a freshman at McCutcheon he had the high school gyms in North Central Indiana buzzing during a memorable 2019-20 campaign. In the summer of 2020 he put on some dazzling performances for Indiana Elite’s 2023 AAU squad, including a memorable head-to-head tussle with now Purdue 2022 commit Braden Smith.
