Indiana will have one of the top high school players in the country in Bloomington relatively soon. Class of 2023 5-star Kwame Evans, Jr. will take an official visit to IU according to a report by Joe Tipton of On3.  Tipton’s report indicated the visit will take place Feb. 11-13, but The Daily Hoosier has confirmed those dates are not correct with the Hoosiers on the road at Michigan State that weekend.  We have confirmed a visit is in fact scheduled and we are working to confirm the actual dates.  IU hosts Illinois on Feb. 5, and that is their…

The Toronto Raptors plan to sign forward Juwan Morgan to a 10-day contract using the league’s hardship exemption, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic. Hardship exemptions allow teams in need of replacements to exceed the usual 15-man roster limit to temporarily add players on 10-day deals. Morgan went undrafted after his senior 2018-19 campaign at IU but signed an Exhibit 10 contract, then a two-way contract and finally an NBA contract all with the Utah Jazz. Despite playing nine Big Ten games in the grueling East Division, IU continues to add stiff non-conference tests to the slate. Indiana University and the University of Virginia football programs announced on Monday afternoon a home-and-home series in 2027 and 2028. The Hoosiers will travel to Charlottesville on Sept. 4, 2027, and host the Cavaliers on Sept. 16, 2028. IU and UVA have split the previous four meetings in the series.
