Guards Jason Drake and Aleksa Ristic, and forward Josh Harris are listed as out for the first game of the Darian DeVries era. As we get set to embark on the 2025-26 season, Indiana basketball has a bunch of veteran players.  IU is the only program to bring in at least 10 transfers with 30-plus collegiate starts. And the Hoosiers have a proven veteran coach.  Through seven seasons as an NCAA Division I head coach, Darian DeVries holds a career record of 169-68 and ranks sixth among active head coaches in Division I winning percentage with at least 100 wins. Indiana football is ranked No. 2 in the first release of the 2025 College Football Playoff rankings. The rankings determined by the CFP Committee were announced live on ESPN Tuesday evening. Following a first round bye, No. 2 IU would face the winner of No. 7 BYU and No. 10 Notre Dame based on the first release of the bracket. As long as they remain a top-4 seed when the final CFP rankings are released in December, the Hoosiers will get a first round bye. Indiana fans are likely to get their first look at Nick Dorn on Wednesday evening. The 6-foot-7 Dorn has been out for months after having foot surgery, but head coach Darian DeVries gave a promising update Monday during his first appearance on the Inside Indiana Basketball radio show. “We do hope to have Nick available for Wednesday,” DeVries told Don Fischer.  “That was great news for us.  He did go back and got some good reports today.  That was awesome for us. “We’ll still see Wednesday what that looks like for him because he’s still working his way back getting…

As is the case each season, the Big Ten is generally rolling out kick times and television designations a couple weeks ahead of each game. Today the league office released details for Indiana’s week 12 senior day game vs. Wisconsin a week from Saturday. The Hoosiers and Badgers will kick at Noon ET on Saturday Nov. 15 inside Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.  The game will air on the Big Ten Network. Indiana has key players carrying a questionable tag as the attention turns to Penn State this week. We may not know for sure the status linebacker Aiden Fisher and wide receiver Elijah Sarratt until pregame warmups at Beaver Stadium on Saturday. There seems to be no clear formula for Indiana’s success this season — and that might explain better than anything else why the Hoosiers are so dominate. Maybe if you can get off to a fast start you can get in their heads a little bit?
