If there was a defining aspect of IU’s historic 2020 football season, it was the ability to make splash plays on the defensive side of the football. The details of Indiana’s 2021-22 non-conference schedule continue to trickle out. According to public records obtained by D1 Docket, Indiana will host Northern Kentucky on Dec. 22 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. The report indicates IU will pay $85,000 to Northern Kentucky as part of the agreement. The game is the third confirmed non-conference opponent for Indiana out of 11 in total. The Big Ten Network released a video of each of Indiana’s 28 touchdowns from the 2020 season from multiple angles. The Hoosiers stormed through their Big Ten only schedule with a 6-1 regular season that included wins over Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State and Wisconsin. Indiana wide receiver Camron Buckley met with the media this week to discuss his decision to transfer to IU from Texas A&M, and his thoughts on the upcoming season. Buckley missed the entire 2020 season due to injury. He suffered a season ending knee injury during fall camp in August, 2020, his final campaign at Texas A&M.
