Indiana will play in front of its home fans for the first time in nearly two years on Saturday when it hosts Idaho in Bloomington. It can still be a bit staggering to watch the burst of speed Tevin Coleman could produce out of the backfield at IU.  And that burst often led to breakaway touchdown runs by the Illinois product. Earlier this week Indiana offered a scholarship to class of 2023 5-star forward Kwame Evans, Jr. Evans, Jr., the No. 2 player in the class according to the 247Sports Composite, is attending Montverde Academy in Florida and plays AAU basketball for Team Durant. Indiana’s defensive backfield is one of the more veteran groups on the team, but they will be without one and likely two seniors for their home opener against Idaho. It has been a while since college basketball coaches have been able to make in-person visits with prospects at their schools and homes. The NCAA reopened live evaluations back in June, but that only allowed coaches to watch prospects at sanctioned events.  In-person contact with the recruiting targets was not permitted away from college campuses. For the first time since the start of the pandemic, beginning today through Nov. 7 is an NCAA approved Contact Period.  And that is exactly what it sounds like—all communication between athletes and coaches is fair game. Indiana will get a close look from a Penn State decommit this weekend. Class of 2022 edge rusher Tyreese Fearbry confirmed with The Daily Hoosier he will be in Bloomington this weekend for an official visit. According to the 247Sports Composite, Fearbry is a 4-star and the No. 182 overall recruit in the 2022 class, the No. 12 edge rusher, and the No. 5 prospect from Pennsylvania. The 6-foot-5 Fearbry plays defensive end and wide receiver this season at Perry Traditional Academy in the Pittsburgh City League.
