It can still be a bit staggering to watch the burst of speed Tevin Coleman could produce out of the backfield at IU. And that burst often led to breakaway touchdown runs by the Illinois product. In 2014 junior season Coleman became the 18th player in FBS history to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a single season. Indiana’s defensive backfield is one of the more veteran groups on the team, but they will be without one and likely two seniors for their home opener against Idaho. Safety Devon Matthews is definitively out for Saturday’s game according to head coach Tom Allen. It has been a while since college basketball coaches have been able to make in-person visits with prospects at their schools and homes. The NCAA reopened live evaluations back in June, but that only allowed coaches to watch prospects at sanctioned events. In-person contact with the recruiting targets was not permitted away from college campuses. Class of 2022 edge rusher Tyreese Fearbry confirmed with The Daily Hoosier he will be in Bloomington this weekend for an official visit. According to the 247Sports Composite, Fearbry is a 4-star and the No. 182 overall recruit in the 2022 class, the No. 12 edge rusher, and the No. 5 prospect from Pennsylvania.
